Vidit joined the Geographical Sciences department as a Finance Analyst Graduate Assistant in 2022 and transitioned to a full-time role after completing his Master of Science in Information Systems from the University of Maryland, College Park, in December 2023. In his current role as a Financial Analyst, Vidit oversees a portfolio of projects funded by NASA, the Department of Defense, and the National Science Foundation. His expertise includes financial planning and analysis (FP&A), budget analysis, and financial reporting.

He also has experience from his tenure as a Business Intelligence Analyst Intern at Navy Federal Credit Union, where he developed an AI Business Value Assessment framework, uncovering a $500 million profit opportunity and identifying significant efficiency gains.

When not focused on financial analytics and reporting, Vidit enjoys spending time at the airport, watching planes and exploring stocks as a hobby. He has a passion for continuous learning and is always keen to explore innovative ways to improve processes through data-driven insights.
