Maryland Day 2018, the 20th annual "Open House" of the University of Maryland, was a great success last Saturday.  As the representative of the Department of Geographical Sciences, CGIS and MPS GEOINT program participated in the Maryland Day as an exhibitor.  Special thanks to the organizers and volunteers from our department to make it a success.

To quote President Loh,

"More than 85,000 visitors of all ages came to see the 400 events and exhibits that touch every aspect of what we do on our campus: education, research, the arts, public service, athletics, and our ties with the surrounding community.

Thank you to all the faculty, staff, and students who participated in Maryland Day. And a special thanks to the planning committee volunteers, drawn from the entire campus, who worked many hours to make possible this occasion. You enabled people from around the State to know even better their flagship university."
