Wang Qi' an, Director General of the National Remote Sensing Center of China (NRSCC) took the opportunity to visit the Department during his participation in the GEO Plenary in Washington.  NRSCC is part of the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology. He met with Dr. Shunlin Liang and Chair Chris Justice to discuss areas of mutual interest, including data sharing. He made it clear that Maryland has an outstanding reputation in remote sensing in China and was interested to hear of the research we are doing in the Department.
