The Lunar New Year, which marks the beginning of the year on the traditional lunar calendar, is celebrated in China and many other countries throughout the Asian Peninsula with elaborate festivals. The Year of the Pig completes a full cycle of the 12 zodiac signs of the Chinese calendar and is set to bring a year of abundance and lightness for those who take special consideration of their actions.
