Research professors in the Department of Geographical Sciences' Global Land Cover Facility (GLCF) were recruited and awarded into the National Science Foundation Innovation Corps, a program to prepare University scientists to broaden the impact of their research by expanding their focus beyond academia. Along with Pasquale Ferrari from the Office of Technology Commercialization -- who will serve as their mentor in the program -- Associate Research Professor Joe Sexton, Assistant Research Professor Min Feng, and former Geog Chair and BSOS Dean John Townshend will participate in the seven-week program from March to April.
