Dr. Inbal Becker-Reshef presented at the 5th G20 Meeting of the Agricultural Chief Scientists (MACS), 30-31 May 2016, in Xi'an, China. Becker-Reshef represented the GEOGLAM Secretariat and presented recent developments in the G20 GEOGLAM initiative (www.geoglam.org), a flagship activity of the Group on Earth Observations focused on global agricutural monitoring. UMD's Department of Geographical Sciences is playing a lead role in the GEOGLAM initiative, developing the Crop Monitors (www.cropmonitor.org), leading the GEOGLAM Global Component and interfacing to the Committee on Earth Observations Satellites (CEOS). At the meeting, the GEOGLAM Program received strong international support and was re-endorsed by the G20 Agricultural Chief Scientists and the Agricutlural Ministers.
