Jingli Yang Geographical Sciences Summer Research Fellowship

The Dr. Jingli Yang Geographical Sciences Graduate Research Fellowship was established in 2014 by Dr. Jingli Yang, GEOG '95, to provide fellowship support to graduate students in the Department of Geographical Sciences with research interests in the areas of earth observations, data processing and data products, as well as in records and data analysis.

Brian R. Melchior Endowed Research Fund

The Brian R. Melchior Memorial Endowed Research Fund for Geographical Sciences was established by the friends and family of Brian Ross Melchior, GEOG '02, '04, to provide research funds for students in the Department of Geographical Sciences.
Jean and Robert Steele Scholarship Award

The Jean and Robert Steele Scholarship was established in 2004 by Dr. Robert E. Steele, former associate dean, and Mrs. Jean Steele to support first generation undergraduate students in BSOS.
Benjamin, Mary, and Maryanne Sharp Endowed Scholarship

The Benjamin, Mary, and Maryanne Sharp Endowed Scholarship was established in 2014 by Dr. Benjamin C. Sharp and Mrs. Mary Gallagher Sharp, and provides merit-based scholarships for undergraduate students enrolled in BSOS.
Stamp Student Employee Scholarship
Valeria Morales
Valeria was awarded the Stamp Student Employee Scholarship for her contributions to the Stamp Student Union. She works in the Multicultural Involvement & Community Advocacy office as a finance intern and in the Leadership & Community Service-Learning office as an Alternative Breaks Experience Leader.
Maryland Environmental Service Scholarship Award

The Maryland Environmental Service Scholarship Award was established in 2017 by Roy McGrath, '93, director of the Maryland Environmental Service. This award supports scholarships for students enrolled in one of the ENSP concentrations within BSOS, particularly to a passionate student who has expressed their intention to pursue a career in the field of environmental protection.
