On May 12th, 2017 at the Department of Geographical Sciences Awards Luncheon, undergraduate student Katherine Haviland was presented with the James R. Anderson Award for outstanding performance as an Undergraduate student in Geographical Sciences for the 2016-2017 academic year. The award was presented by Director of Undergraduate Studies, Dr. Ronald Luna. 

Katherine was chosen for this award based on her perfect 4.0 GPA, committment to the field of Geographical Sciences, and leadership. Katherine recently graduated from our department and will be attending Cornell University in the Fall.
