PhD candidate Suzanne Marselis was awarded as one of the three winners in the University of Maryland Graduate School 3-Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition. Suzanne condensed her entire dissertation into a 3 minute talk, entitled “Predicting Tree Species Richness in the Tropics”, and was challenged with presenting it to a non-specialist audience. As a winner of the competition, her 3-minute presentation will be professionally recorded by the Graduate School and featured on the Graduate School's website in the summer.
